How to update DNS Name server for domains registered with Dotster.com

This article covers the steps necessary to change the name server records for domain names registered with Dotster.com. This information should be used when updating your domain name to point to your account at myASP.NET. These instructions were gathered from the Dotster.com web site FAQs.

• Go to http://dotster.com
• Log into your account
• Click on the My Domains Tab
• Click on your domain or you can search for the domain(s) in your account using the provided search tool
• Click on Register Name Server link
• Enter the hostnames:
  • NS1.SITE4NOW.NET
  • NS2.SITE4NOW.NET
  • NS3.SITE4NOW.NET
• Click Update button

Additional Information

Name server updates typically take 12 to 24 hours, though in some cases the propagation of the change can take up to 72 hours. Site users may report problems accessing your site at myASP.NET during this time. Until propagation is complete, requests to your domain name may point to your previous host.

If you lost or forgot your Dotster username and password:

• Go to http://www.dotster.com
• Click "MY ACCOUNT"
• Click "Forgot Your Password?"
