Domains, DNS & SSL
Map domains to websites, manage supported DNS records, and request free SSL as separate, observable operations.
Domain mapping
Call domain_attach_to_website with an owned siteId and the domain name. The operation creates the hosting binding and DNS zone through NewCP. Domains and subdomains are treated consistently.
DNS eligibility
DNS tools are available only when the domain is associated with a website or active email service in the account. Use domains_list to obtain domainId, then dns_list_records, dns_upsert_record, or the strongly confirmed dns_delete_record.
Free SSL
SSL is intentionally separate from mapping. Before requesting a certificate, the mapped hostname must resolve directly to the website's assigned public hosting IP and return HTTP 200. Proxied DNS addresses do not pass this readiness check. Then call ssl_request and inspect progress through ssl_get_status or operation_get_status.
Unmapping
domain_detach_from_website removes the domain binding and associated SSL data through the existing NewCP cleanup flow. Confirm the exact site and domain IDs before running it.
